Greetings and Salutations!
If you’re
reading this bio, I applaud you. I never read this kind of stuff. My name is
Elder Alec Mikesell, and I am serving a mission in the Baguio Philippines Mission.
Before I was called to be a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints, I was a regular mortal teenager. I went to, and graduated
from, Cheyenne High School in North Las Vegas, Nevada. I have a wonderful family
which consists of my marvelous mother, Barbara Trane, my excellent father Sean
Mikesell, and the best step mother ever, Kelly Mikesell! I have four siblings,
of which I am the second oldest. My older brother currently serves in the Hong Kong China Mission.

Before the mission, I heavily enjoyed theater, choir,
attempting and failing to write novels and long boarding. I loved to perform,
and I had the opportunity to be in Zion’s Youth Symphony, two Honor Choirs, an All-State Choir, the Ed Hero Charity Show, Nevada Thespian Conference Opening Number, the Nevada Thespian Conference Main State Musical, Cheyenne Concert and
Madrigal choirs, and five various plays and musical in the theater department.
I am serving
a full-time mission for my church for two years because I have desires to serve
and have been called to the work. I have a testimony of, and faith in, Jesus
Christ as my Savior, as well as a testimony of Joseph Smith the Prophet, the
Book of Mormon, the Restoration of the Gospel, the plan of happiness provided
by our loving Heavenly Father, and in the living prophet, Thomas S. Monson. On the
off chance that you, reading this, are not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I ask you to
meet with the missionaries where YOU live! Find out for yourself what the
gospel means, what it teaches, and whether or not it’s true. Read the Book of Mormon!
It is a convincing testimony of Jesus Christ. I promise that if you do, our
loving Heavenly Father will answer you in sincere prayer, and you will gain a testimony.
Holy cow,
are you still here?! Well good for you. I’m flattered. Thank you for reading, and
here is my favorite scripture. Stay true to the faith!
Romans 8: 35-39
35 Who shall separate us
from love of Christ? Shall tribulation,
or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, for thy sake we are killed all
the daylong; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither
death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things
present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other
creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Amen.
Elder Alec Mikesell.
